Sabe fazer o contorno certo pro seu tipo de rosto?

Do you know how to create the right contour for your face type?

Posted by SAE HYUN KIM on

Here on our blog we will explain what the most common face shapes are, what products to use and where to apply them for a more defined and illuminated look.

If your face is shaped like a 'heart', Your forehead and temples are the widest part of your face and your chin is slightly pointed, see how to create the ideal contour:

Using a foundation brush or your fingers, apply the product three shades darker to the sides of the forehead, temples and below the cheekbones. This will leave your face with marked angles. Finish by marking the sides of the nose and blend it so that it is not marked.

Warm up the tone of your cheeks by applying a little bronzing powder to the contour line that was made below your cheekbones. Then, apply a little powder to the tip of your chin, this way it will appear less pronounced.

The highlighter adds volume and highlights your best features. Apply to the center of the chin, the top of the nose, the center of the forehead and the area just below the eyes. To finish, blend the three shades that were applied to the face using gentle circular movements with the duo fiber brush.

If your face is rectangular, long and slightly narrow. With the forehead, cheekbones and jaw bones about the same width:

With the darker base, make a line across the entire hairline. This gives the impression that the forehead is shorter. Then make a triangle below the apples, which will thin it out. Paint the tip of the chin and the sides of the nose. Smoke it out.

Apart from the scratches made in the nose area, use bronzing powder to contour the dark lines you made with the foundation. Apply a little powder to the brush and blend well as you redo the contour across the entire face.

With the highlighter, make an inverted triangle in the middle of the forehead and apply it to the top of the nose, in the center of the chin and in the area below the eyes. To finish, blend the three shades applied to the face, using gentle circular movements with a duo fiber brush.

If your face is square where the sides of the face are straighter, and the height and width of the face are more or less the same length:

On a square face, contouring helps create bulging angles. Use the darker foundation on the sides of the forehead and in the area between the ears and jaw. You can also make two lines on the sides of the nose to make it appear thinner. Blend the foundation.

For a more natural effect and a slight tanned touch, apply the powder, creating a line that should start near the top of the ear and go to the region close to the mouth. This will make your look look healthy.

Make an inverted triangle in the center of your forehead. Also apply the highlighter on the top of the nose, below the eyes and in the center of the chin. Finish by blending the three shades applied to the face, making gentle circular movements with the duo fiber brush.

If your face is oval, longer vertically than horizontally and the jaw is rounded:

With the darker base, draw a triangle on each side of the face (it should occupy the space at the height of the ears and end close to the mouth). Mark the sides of your nose if you want to slim it down. Blend it so it doesn't leave a mark.

Use a contour or blush brush to apply the bronzing powder just above the marking that was just made with the foundation three shades darker than your skin. This will ensure a more natural result.

Apply the highlighter to the center of the forehead, the top of the nose and below the dark circles. On the chin, apply the product right on the tip to create the impression that it is wider. To finish, blend the three shades that were applied, making smooth circular movements with the fiber duo.

If your face is round where the cheekbones are the widest part of the face and the jaw is rounded:

Using a foundation three shades darker than your skin, contour the sides of your face. Start at the temples and work your way down until you reach the jaw area. This process will give a slimmer effect to your features.

The bronzer serves to enhance the contouring effect and, as it is a powder applied on top of a creamy product, the makeup lasts longer. Apply it to the line just below the apples, starting from the ear area and going until it almost reaches the mouth.

To make your forehead longer, make a chubby inverted triangle in the center of it. Also use on the top of the nose and below the eyes. Finish by blending the three shades that were applied, making smooth circular movements with the duo fiber brush.

And what do you need to do the contouring technique?

Liquid base

Before you start, even out your skin with a product matching your tone. Then, for contouring, use one that is three shades darker than your skin. Apply with a foundation brush or your fingers if you prefer.

Bronzing powder

In addition to reinforcing the contour, bronzing powder (which should not be shiny) helps to make the finish more natural. Apply with a contour brush or blush brush.

Highlighter

It is responsible for highlighting certain points on the face. The skin appears more glamorous and healthier. The concealer brush is great for applying product.
